Almonte General Hospital Gift Shop

The Almonte General Hospital (AGH) Gift Shop stocks many items, but one thing is always on display - generosity.

That comes from the volunteers who staff the Gift Shop and the many local knitters and quilters who craft and donate many of the shop’s wares.

The Gift Shop, which is open six hours a day, seven days a week, stocks toothpaste, pill boxes and other items Hospital patients find useful, cards, gum, candy, chocolate bars, stuffed toys, mittens and clothing for babies and children.

About 10 area women knit sweaters, booties and bonnets for newborns, afghans and mittens. Peggy and Benita McPhail donate baby quilts to the shop.
