Invitation to provide input to the Mississippi River Health Alliance’s Strategic Plan
The Allied Boards of Directors of the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) are in the process of updating the Joint Strategic Plan that was developed by the two hospital corporations in 2017. The updated plan will set a clear direction for the organization for the next 3-5 years and seeks to renew our commitment to our patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and community partners. Mission, Vision and Values statements will also be reviewed as part of this process.
While approval of the strategic plan is the Board of Directors’ accountability, we deeply appreciate that many people have a stake in the future of our organizations and the sustainability of our local health care system. To ensure that these important voices are heard, the Board invited a wide array of stakeholders to provide input to the plan.
As a valued member of the MRHA community and/or partner of our organizations we invited you to provide input to our plan by completing a brief and confidential online survey. The survey is being managed by the tng consulting team and all of your responses are anonymous. The highlights and patterns of all the responses gathered will be summarized to assist in the Board's strategic planning retreat scheduled to take place in early December.
These perspectives, together with hospital utilization data, industry best practices and emerging healthcare trends, will form the basis for updating our Strategic Plan.
The Allied Boards are very much looking forward to hearing your perspectives regarding the future of our organizations. We are also grateful for the time you invested in providing us with your valuable input.

Our Roadmap for the Future
Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital have developed a joint strategic plan to set the direction for health care in our region over the next 3 to 5 years. This joint plan will ensure alignment between the two hospitals as partners in the Mississippi River Health Alliance.
The strategic plan sets out our strategic directions to help shape a healthy community through caring, quality and innovation. It describes a future that is sustainable, patient-centred, innovative and seamlessly connected to a regional system of care.
The plan was developed with the help of staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, partners and the local community. Thank you for your input.
