A Registered Dietitian and Food Services Manager oversee all food and nutritional services. Menus are based on Canada’s Food Guide
to Healthy Eating, hospital and provincial long-term care and hospital standards.
You may be prescribed a special diet or have particular nutrition requirements to manage a condition, treat an illness or injury. The Registered Dietitian is available during your hospital stay. A referral from a physician is required for the dietitian to provide diet modification and counselling for patients and their families. individual and family counselling for patients with restricted or special dietary needs. The Food Services Manager is available if you have any dietary concerns about the meals.
